Mann Island Finance Sponsors UK Independent Van Dealer of the Year at the Motor Trader Independent Dealer Awards 2024

Returning for their sixth year, the Motor Trader Independent Dealer Awards will be held on July 11th at the Eastside Rooms in Birmingham. Mann Island is sponsoring the UK Independent Van Dealer of the Year award, another example of its support for the light commercial vehicle sector.

As a winner or shortlisted business, the awards recognise the hard workers across the independent motor retailing sector for their efforts in developing their businesses independently over the last 12 months. It is also an excellent opportunity for dealers to promote the quality of their work and commitment to customer service.

Nominations for the awards are open now and close on Friday 10th, May, and for dealers looking to win the  UK Independent Van Dealer of the Year award category, here are the criteria that the panel of independent judges are looking for (their details are on the Motor Trader Independent Dealer Awards website).

Award Criteria

Single-site businesses and multiple sites are eligible. This will be assessed between January and December 2023.

  • Recognises excellence across marketing, used van sales and training.
  • Business and retail testimonials would be beneficial to support your entry
  • Using our criteria headings please tell us how you have excelled in your showroom presentation standards for van sales.
  • Please submit photos/video of showroom and forecourt to support your entry
  • Please submit financial results for pre-tax profits and turnover for two most recent financial year

“If vans are the workhorses of the UK economy, as is often written, then the dealers who sell, repair and maintain those vans should be recognised for the work that they do, which is often out of sight from the public.
