Mann Island Finance Side-by-Side with Customers & Dealers
As a lender, Mann Island Finance may be a new kid on the block, but the brand has been around for almost thirty years as a business working with car dealers and their customers, providing a high level of personal service. Against the unprecedented backdrop of the Covid-19 pandemic, we stand ready to support customers and dealers alike. You can rely upon Mann Island’s flexible and personal service ethos at this difficult time.
Fully Operational & Open for Business
Mann Island continue to be fully committed to servicing all our dealer partners and end user clients as we were pre COVID-19. We were actually fully operational from home a full week before Boris announced the lockdown and all systems are working fine with all products available as before.
In these exceptional circumstances, some additional interim underwriting measures have been introduced including to confirm that sales are going ahead and that deliveries have happened. This is to ensure that all customers are treated fairly and are not put into the situation where they are paying for a vehicle that they haven’t received and this will apply to all cases whilst we go through this period.
Caring for Our Customers
As a lender, Mann Island is proud to recognise its duty of care to support those people to whom we have lent money. The impact of Covid-19 on many people’s incomes may have caused and might continue to cause, concern about the ability of our customers to meet their motor finance commitments. If this is the case, Mann Island can offer a range of support options tailored to each person’s circumstances.
We aim to ensure customers are offered the opportunity to maintain their finance agreement on an affordable basis including payment holidays. In such unprecedented circumstances, our approach is to support each customer individually, providing reassurance to people who could never have anticipated the speed and impact of this terrible virus. We also recognise the particular challenge facing small and medium sized enterprise’s and will do all we can to support those businesses too.
In our view this approach is key to everyone across the industry, because we all depend on our customers being in as good a position as possible when we come out the other side of this crisis.
To help customers who believe a payment holiday may be beneficial, they can start the process online by following this link.
If our telephone lines are busy as we help other customers, please email us and will get back to you as quickly as we can at; [email protected]. Please accept our apologies for any delay. We are helping a large number of customers right now, but be assured we want to speak to every customer, listen to their concerns and reassure them that they will receive our support throughout the crisis.
Supporting our Dealers
We are very aware of the challenges facing our motor retailer customers. Personal service goes hand-in-hand with personal relationships and, while our field team may be grounded, we are still striving to provide as much help and one-to-one contact as we can.
We are working to ensure that dealers are aware of all the support options that can help them and their business and sharing best practices across our network.
Our Account Managers are at Your Service
One area in which we can help is by offering access to our highly experienced team across the UK. We have always made our team available to talk directly with customers, notably on the more complex finance agreements for business users but, right now, we believe they may be able to do more.
Inevitably, there will be some essential workers who may find that they need to change their car or van. At the same time, with many people ‘locked-down’, potential customers are browsing online in ever greater numbers. Our team can become part of the dealer team, at least on a remote basis. If a customer needs finance support to finalise a car purchase reservation, dealers can look to the Mann Island team to work on their behalf to help them.
